i just wanted to introduce my self i am new here

from egypt , Sharm el Sheikh
i got a critical problem with the game
when i launch Silkroad.exe nothing happens
i have windows 8.1 original
16GB of ram
ATI 7950 4G
Core i7 Octa
Please help me so we can play together

Disable your anti virus / firewall, run client as admin.
And I would suggest you post a picture if there comes an error, so we know what we are dealing with.
If you are a botuser, there wont be any help (just saying).

I'm using windows 8 as well and don't have any problems. Try to start Silkroad with right click and then "run as admin". It's kinda hard to help you without an error code or something like that :S

It can also help if you right click, Properties, Compatibility, Select "Run this program in compatibility mode for Windows XP (Service pack 3). Well this is also a option I use for games while running in Windows 7 if they don't wanna run.

I would be sure to run it as administrator. (Right click, run as administrator).
The user account control functions in windows 8.1 may be causing an issue.
And I wouldn't recommend disabling it entirely, if you do, it won't launch the metro apps anymore.
